Who we are
Jabalie is a UK charity working internationally with survivors and individuals that are at high risk of gender-based violence. We provide education and empowerment programme, training, advocacy and a community platform.
Envisioning a world free from violence and abuse
What we do
Education and Empowerment Programme
We are developing an education and empowerment programme for survivors and individuals at high risk of gender-based violence. Our education and empowerment programme has five key areas: understanding gender-based violence, skills development, legal rights, women's health, and mental health.
Training
Through a training of trainers model, we train our community partners, including non-profit organisations and community leaders, to deliver our education and empowerment programme to their communities.
Advocacy
Our advocacy seeks to draw attention to the plight of gender-based violence and platform the lived experiences of survivors who demand change. In doing so, we seek to address the root causes of gender-based violence and strive for long-term and sustainable change to promote gender equal cultures and societies.
Community
Our community brings together grassroots activists, non-profit organisations, academics, corporates and governmental agencies to foster an inclusive, multi-disciplinary approach to eliminating gender-based violence.

Where we work
In recognition of the fact that gender-based violence is a global issue, our model is designed to be upscaled internationally. We are piloting the programme in two geographical areas, the UK and Kenya.
